With 100 years of experience, the Azerbaijan state university of economics has become one of the best and most popular higher education centers in the country. This university was founded in 1930 with separation from Azerbaijan state university. Student life

The university owns a separate and highly advanced sports and recreation center in the Guba region. This campus is about 7 hectares and contains gardens, sports complexes and cultural centers for social and cultural traditions. The location of this campus has made a great place for staff and students leisure times during holydays. Various types of national and international events take place at this campus annually.

In this complex, students and staff can use volleyball halls, football fields, swimming pools, fitness centers and many other facilities. All of these sports halls have been designed with the highest standards of the day.

Students have access to various sports halls inside the main campus of the university too. The university pays a lot of attention to sports and sports activities of the students, therefore organizes different competitions every year. Several teams from this university have been award winners in national competitions.

International school of economics:

This institute is the only institute which offers programs in English language to its students. Faculty of Business and management:

The faculty in its new form was established in 2016, but it is actually the consequence of integration of 3 faculties that existed since universities existence. At the moment, the faculty adopts a curriculum in line with the European standards.

Faculty of engineering:

This faculty is the newest faculty of the university and was established in 2020. The aim of this faculty is to ensure the implementation of economic decisions on industrial settings. This faculty offers programs in the fields of industrial engineering, material engineering, mechanical engineering, ecology engineering, food engineering and electrical engineering.  There are also several laboratories, equipped with the best amenities of the day.
